NYSUT voices concerns over state’s draft ESSA regulations

Here we go again. In a strongly worded comment letter, NYSUT Executive Vice President Jolene DiBrango says the State Education Department is playing fast and loose with draft regulations for the state’s Every Student Succeeds Act implementation plan. She says NYSUT will fiercely push back on any efforts to attack collective bargaining or to punish schools where parents exercise their right to opt their children out of state testing. Here’s the letter.
