Making Our Campus a Better Place For All of Us

UUP the Union that makes SUNY Work

For Exceptional Contingent Service to our Union

The Steve Street Award is named for a beloved UUP contingent faculty member who taught at Brockport and Buffalo State, and who died of cancer in 2012. Street was an officer for contingents at Buffalo State, a delegate and a member of the statewide Contingent Employment Committee. He was a 2010 recipient of UUP’s Fayez Samuel Award for Courageous Service by Part-Time Academic and Professional Faculty.
This one time $500 award is given to an undergraduate student or group of undergraduate students currently enrolled at a SUNY campus who have created any paper or documented any project related to social justice issues or topics. Available to full and part-time students, the annual deadline is May 1.
